Anne-Marie Dionne is an Associate Professor and Interim Vice-Dean of Undergraduate Programs at the Faculty of Education, University of Ottawa. She also serves as Director of Graduate Programs in the Francophone Sector. Her research focuses on reading education, youth literature, family literacy, and language acquisition in early childhood. Dionne holds a Ph.D. in Education (Psychopedagogy) from Université Laval (2003).
Her work investigates pedagogical practices in primary education, particularly the role of reading aloud in vocabulary development and emotional literacy. She has conducted comparative studies on fictional vs. informational texts in classroom settings and explored multicultural representation in French-Canadian children’s literature. Recent projects include developing interventions to improve adherence to breast cancer therapies through community pharmacy programs.
