Anne-Marie Bouche is an Associate Professor in the Bower School of Music & the Arts at Florida Gulf Coast University (FGCU). She holds a PhD in Art History from Columbia University, an MLS in Library Science from the University of California, Berkeley, and a BA in Medieval Studies from the University of California, Santa Cruz.
Her research focuses on Romanesque and Gothic art, including art and theology, liturgical iconography, and manuscript studies. Teaching interests span Early Christian, medieval, Egyptian/Near Eastern, Renaissance, and Baroque art, alongside information literacy.
Before joining FGCU, she served as Assistant Professor of Western Medieval Art at Princeton University, taught at Columbia University and Long Island University, and worked as a lecturer at the Cloisters Museum in New York. She also held roles as Rare Books and Special Collections Librarian at Mills College.
