Anne Koenig is a Professor and Program Director of Psychological Sciences at the University of San Diego. She holds a PhD (2007) and MA (2003) in Social Psychology from Northwestern University, and a BS in Psychology (2001) from Iowa State University.
Her research explores social psychology with emphasis on stereotype content, role congruity theory of prejudice, prescriptive gender stereotypes, and ideologies of sex differences. She employs correlational and experimental methods to investigate how social roles shape perceptions.
She teaches courses in social psychology, psychology of gender, cross-cultural psychology, and research methods. Her scholarly contributions include publications in leading journals like Journal of Personality and Social Psychology and presentations at major conferences including SPSP and APS.
Honors include Faculty Research Grants and a 2021 University Professorship recognizing her achievements in teaching and research.
