Anne Hewitt is an Associate Professor at the Adelaide Law School within the Faculty of Arts, Business, Law and Economics at the University of Adelaide. She supervises Masters and PhD students and focuses on equitable access to high-quality work and education through legal frameworks.
- Research Focus: Anti-discrimination law, work-integrated learning (WIL), labor rights of non-traditional workers, higher education regulation, and equality law reform.
- Leadership: Editor-in-Chief of Legal Education Review, member of the Australian Discrimination Law Experts Group, and advisor to the Queensland Human Rights Advisory Panel.
Recent Research Trends from her 15 most recent publications highlight three key areas: (1) regulatory frameworks for internships and WIL programs across Australia, Finland, and France; (2) comparative analysis of equality laws in Australia and Nigeria; and (3) policy-driven initiatives to improve WIL accessibility through grants from the Australian Human Rights Commission, DFAT, and USAID/GRI.
