Anne Hayden is an Adjunct Lecturer in the Department of Environmental Studies at Bowdoin College, where she has taught since 2002. She specializes in integrating social and natural sciences to study marine ecosystems, fisheries governance, and economic incentives. Her current course focuses on Gulf of Maine fisheries challenges.
- Education: PhD in Interdisciplinary Studies (University of Maine), MS in Forestry and Environmental Studies (Duke University), BA in American History and Literature (Harvard University)
Her research emphasizes policy-relevant solutions for marine resource management. She has served on boards of organizations like Maine Audubon Society, The Nature Conservancy’s Maine Chapter, and the Penobscot River Resource Center. Currently, she is a member of the Davis Conservation Foundation.
