Anne Gerritsen

Anne Gerritsen is a Professor of History at the University of Warwick and holds a part-time Chair of Asian Art at Leiden University. She specializes in global history, material culture, and late imperial China, with a focus on intercultural exchange and local history. She is a Fellow of the British Academy and Academia Europaea, and her work bridges academic and public engagement.

Her research explores how material objects like porcelain, medicinal substances, and literary works shaped global connections.
