Annaly Babb-Guerra

Annaly Babb-Guerra is a Clinical Assistant Professor and Co-Director of the NYU Teacher Residency at New York University's Steinhardt School of Culture, Education, and Human Development. She holds a B.A. in Law, Letters, and Society from the University of Chicago, M.A. in Teaching Social Studies from Teachers College-Columbia University, M.Ed. from Harvard Graduate School of Education, and Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Her research examines anti-racist, culturally sustaining, and humanizing pedagogy in social studies and civic education. She has published in Teachers College Record, Journal of Social Studies Research, and Social Studies Research and Practice. Her co-authored paper on the 'Legislative Semester' program won the 2016 AERA Social Studies Research SIG Outstanding Paper Award.
