Annalisa Tassone is an Associate Professor of Physiology at UniCamillus University and a research biologist at the Laboratory of Neurophysiology and Plasticity at Fondazione Santa Lucia IRCCS. She holds a PhD in Neuroscience from the University of Rome Tor Vergata and a degree in Biological Sciences from the University of Rome La Sapienza. Her research focuses on the basal ganglia’s role in movement disorders such as dystonia and Parkinson’s disease. She has conducted research at Harvard Medical School/Massachusetts General Hospital (USA) and Katholieke University of Leuven (Belgium).
Dr. Tassone serves as a referee and guest editor for international journals in neurobiology and molecular biology. She has received multiple international awards for her scientific contributions. Her academic roles span teaching physiology in undergraduate and graduate programs (BSc Physiotherapy, BSc Midwifery, MSc Medicine and Surgery) across campuses in Rome and Venice.
