Anna W. Hickey

Captain Anna W. Hickey is an Associate Professor in the Department of Management at the United States Coast Guard Academy. Her research focuses on governmental financial reporting and accounting education. She holds a Ph.D. in Business Administration (Accounting) from West Virginia University, an MBA in Finance from Florida Atlantic University (2006), and a B.S. in Management from the Coast Guard Academy (1997).

• Prior Assignments: Executive Officer of Tactical Law Enforcement Teams (TACLET) South, Comptroller of Base New Orleans, and rotating military instructor of accounting at the Academy.
• Affiliations: Member of the Association of Government Accountants (AGA), Institute of Management Accountants (AICPA), and American Society of Military Comptrollers (ASMC).
• Professional Roles: Serves on the editorial board for the Journal of Accounting Education.
