Anna W Gustafsson is an Associate Professor at the Centre for Languages and Literature, Lund University. She serves as Head of Section 1 and Coordinator of the Language Consultancy program, with research focusing on political discourse, language and health, and shared reading.

Her work spans discourse analysis, sociolinguistics, and intercultural communication, with recent projects analyzing affective strategies in populist-party social media interactions, shared reading interventions for health, and metaphor use in palliative care. She supervises students at all academic levels and contributes to UN Sustainable Development Goals in health and well-being.
