Anna Opstrup Larsen is a PhD Fellow at the Department of Culture and Learning, Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, Aalborg University, specializing in collaborative research within Social and Health Education (SOSU). Her work bridges academic research and practical implementation in vocational education settings.
Her educational background includes a Master of Arts in Pedagogy from the University of Copenhagen. This foundation supports her current doctoral research on knowledge co-creation processes.
Larsen's research centers on developing inter-organizational language systems between researchers, SOSU schools, and municipalities to strengthen the knowledge base of social healthcare education. She investigates how collaborative research methodologies can transform traditional knowledge transfer into dynamic knowledge transactions, with particular focus on organizational capacity building and professional practice development within vocational education frameworks.
Her publication trends reveal a consistent trajectory from theoretical pedagogical exploration (2017) toward innovative methodological development (2024) and systemic transactional models (2025), demonstrating evolution from conceptual analysis to practical intervention frameworks in VET research.
She serves as Principal Investigator for the PhD project "On the Hunt for the Knowledge Base of SOSU Education" (2024-2027) and contributes as Project Participant to "Developing Organizational Capacity for Research-Informed Work" (2024-2026) and as Co-Investigator for "Complementum – Increased Completion Through Learning Communities" (2023-2025), securing significant research funding for collaborative educational development.
Larsen operates within Aalborg University's Collaborative Organizational Learning (CO-LEARN) research environment, working closely with municipal partners and SOSU institutions to implement practice-based research models that directly impact educational quality and professional development in Denmark's social healthcare sector.
