Anne-Birgitte Rohwedder is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Culture and Learning, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Aalborg University, Denmark. She is affiliated with the Centre for Education Policy Research (CfU) and the Collaborative Organizational Learning (CO-LEARN) research group, where she conducts interdisciplinary research on vocational education, teacher onboarding, and inclusive learning practices, particularly in the Social and Health Education (SOSU) sector. Her work integrates educational theory, policy analysis, and technological innovation, especially through the use of generative AI to support bilingual learners.

She supervises PhD students, including Amina Sabah Karim, and leads or co-leads multiple funded research projects, such as the VELUX Foundation-supported 2SOSU-AI project, which explores how generative AI can support bilingual women in SOSU programs. She also contributes to interdisciplinary initiatives on educational policy, problem-based learning, and welfare state education.
Her collaborative work extends to partnerships with institutions like CIU (Center for IT in VET), VFV (Welfare Technology Knowledge Center), and 12 Danish SOSU schools, ensuring real-world impact on teacher competencies and student outcomes.
