Lotte Lykke Larsen is a Researcher at the Department of Clinical Medicine within the Faculty of Medicine at Aalborg University, where she is affiliated with the Center for General Practice. Her work centers on public health research in primary care, focusing on socially disadvantaged populations and cancer rehabilitation.
Her academic qualifications include:
- Physiotherapist degree from University College of Northern Denmark (2009-2013)
- Master of Science in Public Health (cand.scient.san.publ) with thesis on social inequality in type-2 diabetes rehabilitation (2016-2018)
Larsen's research interests lie at the intersection of public health and primary care, with a dedicated focus on health disparities. She investigates the challenges faced by socially vulnerable cancer patients in general practice and explores innovative solutions such as video consultations to improve healthcare access. Her methodological approach often involves qualitative studies and co-production with stakeholders to ensure practical relevance.
Analysis of her recent publications (2021-2024) shows a strong thematic consistency in addressing the needs of disadvantaged cancer patients and implementing telemedicine in primary care.
