Anna Noakes

Anna Noakes is a distinguished flautist and Professor of Flute at Trinity College of Music, where she taught for seventeen years. She is renowned as a concerto soloist with orchestras like the BBC Concert Orchestra and RNSO, performing in prestigious venues such as the Queen Elizabeth Hall (QEH), Wigmore Hall, and the Purcell Room. Her recordings for labels including Dutton, ASV, Naxos, and Guild have earned acclaim, including Gramophone Magazine’s Critics Choice. She also serves as a Guest Principal Flute with major orchestras like the London Philharmonic Orchestra (LPO), Philharmonia, and Royal Philharmonic Orchestra (RPO).

Her artistic contributions extend to film and television scores for blockbusters such as James Bond, Harry Potter, and Lord of the Rings. She co-founded the South American Folk Ensemble INCA and directed the Yoxford Arts Festival for a decade. Anna’s masterclasses span institutions like the Royal Academy of Music (RAM), Royal Northern College of Music (RNCM), and Guildhall School of Music and Drama (GSMD), alongside coaching ensembles like the World Youth Orchestra and Cambridge University.
