Anna Michalski is a Visiting Professor at the EU International Relations and Diplomacy Studies Department of the College of Europe (Bruges) and holds a Professorship in Political Science at Uppsala University's Department of Government. She is also an Associated Senior Researcher at the Swedish Institute of International Affairs. Her research focuses on European foreign policy, EU-China relations, socialization processes in international organizations, and Nordic countries' foreign policy roles. She has served in academic roles across institutions including Fudan University (Shanghai), Hong Kong University, and Auckland University, alongside European policy research institutes in London, Paris, The Hague, and Stockholm. Between 1996-2001, she worked at the European Commission's Forward Studies Unit.
Her research has been published in leading journals such as European Journal of International Relations, Journal of Common Market Studies, and International Affairs. She chairs the Swedish Network for European Studies in Political Science (SNES) and is a member of the Swedish Foreign Policy Society. Her recent works include monographs analyzing EU foreign policy practices and EU-China strategic partnerships.
