Anna J. Egalite is a Professor in the Department of Educational Leadership, Policy, and Human Development at North Carolina State University's College of Education. She holds a Ph.D. in Education Policy from the University of Arkansas, a M.Ed. from the University of Notre Dame, and a B.Ed. from St. Patrick’s College in Dublin, Ireland. She completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Harvard University and served as a Visiting Fellow at Stanford University's Hoover Institution (2022-2024) and Visiting Assistant Professor at Duke University (2017).
Her research focuses on evaluating education policies addressing racial and economic achievement gaps, with emphasis on school choice, public school competition, and educator diversity.
