Anna Gustafsson is a researcher and lecturer at the Department of Social Anthropology, Stockholm University. She holds a Ph.D. from the University of St Andrews and a BSc from the University of East London.
- Education: Ph.D. (2014) and BSc (2008) in Social Anthropology
- Roles: Director of Studies for undergraduate level (2020-present), Research Associate at Centre for Cosmopolitan Studies, University of St Andrews
Research Interests: Focus on aging populations in rural Sweden, postcolonial identity construction, and indigenous cultural practices. Her work bridges ethnographic fieldwork with policy analysis, particularly in social sustainability and gender dynamics.
Scientific Projects: Currently leads a 4-year FORMAS-funded study on rural gerontology in Sweden, and previously conducted ethnographic research on Lulesámi women's craft production in Norway.
