Anna Seeger is an Early Career Researcher in the Department of Social Anthropology at the University of St Andrews, Scotland. Her work focuses on elites, power dynamics, and future energy imaginaries, particularly in Norway's energy industry. She investigates 'energy elites' and their influence on energy trajectories and climate concerns through ethnographic research.
Education:
- MA (Hons) in International Relations and Social Anthropology from the University of St Andrews
Research Interests: Anna explores power structures in energy systems, elite decision-making processes, and the interplay between energy policy and environmental sustainability. Her methodologies include participant observation and interviews with industry leaders, managers, and stakeholders in energy corporations, consultants, and state institutions.

Advising & Funding: Her PhD is supported by the European Research Council (ERC) under the Energy Ethics research group. She has conducted fieldwork in Norway and Mongolia, examining post-socialist business elites and energy transitions.
