Dr. Anna Francis is a Clinical Senior Lecturer affiliated with the Sydney School of Public Health at the University of Sydney, within the Faculty of Medicine and Health. Her work focuses on nephrology, transplantation medicine, and public health, particularly examining disparities in healthcare outcomes for children and adolescents with chronic kidney disease (CKD). She is actively involved in clinical trials like NAVKIDS2, which evaluates patient navigator programs for CKD care, and contributes to global studies such as INCEPTION on kidney transplant strategies.

She also explores equity and diversity in the nephrology workforce, aiming to address systemic inequities in healthcare delivery and professional representation.
Key publications span 2015–2024, with recent work addressing heart transplant mortality disparities, the longitudinal health of pediatric CKD patients, and the design of interventions to improve care access. Francis collaborates extensively with teams in Australia, New Zealand, and globally, contributing to both observational studies and randomized controlled trials.
