Dr Anna Edwards is a Research Fellow in Urban Studies at the Melbourne Centre for Cities, part of the University of Melbourne's Melbourne School of Design. She specializes in night-time economies, urban governance, and economic research, leading the Night Shift project on 24-hour city development. Her PhD (2024) in Urban Analysis and Development and Economic Geography focused on Australian night-time economy policymaking. Educated at the University of Melbourne, she holds an MSc in Economic Development Research and Policy, a BA in Business Studies, and a Specialist Certificate in Leadership.
Co-founder of Ingenium Research, a data-driven consultancy, Anna advises governments and businesses on creating inclusive, vibrant cities. Her work spans academia, government, non-profits, and private sectors. Key projects include the Night Shift initiative and contributions to the Melbourne Centre for Cities. She advocates for safer, 24-hour urban environments through strategic insights and policy advice.
