Dr. Alessia Cibin is a Casual Academic at the Faculty of Design, Architecture and Building at the University of Technology Sydney. Her work focuses on urban planning and sustainable development, particularly in the areas of night-time economy governance and spatial analysis of urban environments.

She has also published on forms of night-time economy governance and their role in developing smart public spaces. Her work demonstrates a strong focus on practical applications of spatial analysis to urban challenges, particularly those related to sustainable development goals for cities and communities.
Dr. Cibin previously served as a City Councillor from 2006 to 2016, providing her with practical experience in urban governance. She is also a member of the editorial board for the New Planner publication and teaches the course "Property and the Built Environment" (BADP3002).
