Anna Chronopoulou

Anna Chronopoulou is a Senior Lecturer in Equity and Trusts at Westminster Law School since 2019, following her PhD research at Birkbeck College, University of London, funded by the Ronnie Warrington Award. Her work explores intersections of law with popular culture, cinematic portrayals of legal professionals, and property law pedagogy. She has held roles in legal education across the UK, Greece, and Brazil.

• Education: PhD in Law (Birkbeck College, University of London), focused on neo-tribal sociality in the legal profession.

Research interests include law and popular culture (with a focus on Middle Eastern perspectives), lawyers in film, law and literature, and property law’s engagement with cultural narratives. She is affiliated with the Centre for Law, Society and Popular Culture and the Centre for Law, Gender, Race and Sexuality.

Her publications analyze cinematic representations of female lawyers, neo-tribal sociality in legal professions, and cultural solutions to legal education challenges. She actively supervises PhD students in her research areas.
