Anna Cahn is a PhD student in the Art History & Criticism Department at Stony Brook University. She holds an adjunct lecturer position at the City College of New York and has held roles such as Curatorial Associate at the Rubin Museum of Art, guest curator at Residency Unlimited, and research fellow at Stanford University. Her research focuses on the politics of desire, sexuality, and feminist/queer performance practices in contemporary art.
Education:

- Current PhD candidate at Stony Brook University
Research Interests: Anna explores intersections of movement, experimental dance, and performance art. She emphasizes marginalized voices in feminist and queer artistic practices, particularly through exhibitions like In Longing at CUE Art Foundation, which examined the socio-political dimensions of longing.
Writing & Curation: Her critical essays appear in The Brooklyn Rail, Hyperallergic, and Spiral. She curated performances for the Rubin Museum’s Refiguring the Future series and continues to engage with contemporary art discourse through curatorial and academic work.
