Ann-Marie Wohlfarth is a research assistant and PhD candidate at the Ludwig-Uhland-Institute for Historical and Cultural Anthropology, University of Tübingen. She focuses on digital anthropology, emotion studies, and the sociology of knowledge. Her research includes ethnographic investigations into online homosocial spaces and involuntary celibacy experiences among young men, as well as the entanglements of human practices and algorithmic processes within digital technologies.
Her current work is part of the DFG-funded project Curating the Feed: Interdisciplinary Perspectives on Digital Image Feeds and their Curatorial Assemblages, examining how digital technologies shape everyday life and curatorial practices. She holds a Master's degree from the University of Leipzig, where her thesis explored digital ethnography methodologies.
