Ann M. Nguyen

Ann M. Nguyen is an Assistant Research Professor and Implementation Scientist at the Rutgers Center for State Health Policy. She serves as Director of the New Jersey Practice-Based Research Network and is affiliated faculty in the Department of Family Medicine and Community Health at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. Her work spans primary care innovation, healthcare workforce dynamics, and policy evaluation.

Dr. Nguyen's research focuses on practice transformation, organizational learning, and Medicaid policy implementation. She employs mixed-methods approaches to evaluate programs like the NJ Medicaid Comprehensive Waiver and out-of-state healthcare practitioner licensure initiatives. Her findings appear in journals such as Journal of Healthcare Management and Journal of General Internal Medicine, with contributions to Shortell and Kaluzny’s Healthcare Management.

Previously, she held a postdoctoral fellowship at NYU Langone Health and worked in health systems development. Her current projects address opioid/substance use disorder interventions and primary care workforce strategies.
