Ann Kronrod is an Associate Professor of Marketing in the Manning School of Business at the University of Massachusetts Lowell, specializing in Marketing Entrepreneurship and Innovation. She holds a PhD in Cognitive Science of Language and Marketing from Tel Aviv University and completed postdoctoral research at MIT Sloan School of Management. Previously, she held positions at Michigan State University, Northeastern University, and Boston University.
Her research integrates linguistics with consumer behavior, focusing on: word-of-mouth communication, social networks, text analysis, health marketing, and prosocial interventions. She investigates how linguistic features influence persuasion, brand perception, and behavioral change across environmental, financial, and health contexts.
Kronrod's publications demonstrate interdisciplinary approaches combining computational linguistics, experimental psychology, and marketing theory. Her recent work explores authentic communication detection, figurative language effects on health behaviors, and prosocial message framing. She maintains consistent focus on linguistic markers in consumer decision-making across digital and traditional media.
