Dr Ann Kaegi is an English Lecturer and Faculty EDI Champion at the University of Hull, affiliated with the School of Humanities within the Faculty of Arts Cultures and Education. Her research focuses on early modern literature, particularly Shakespeare and Renaissance drama, exploring themes like trauma, grief, resistance theory, and gender studies. She also leads initiatives in inclusive design, equity-centred co-design, and sustainability in education. Her teaching includes modules such as 'Shakespeare and Early Modern Theatre' and 'Unruly Subjects: Voices from the Margins.'
Dr Kaegi has been recognized for her contributions with awards like the Excellence in Personal Supervision Finalist (2022-2023) and Social Justice and Inclusion Nominee. She holds a PhD/DPhil, MA, and BA, and is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. Her leadership roles include membership in the University of Leeds' Belonging Methodologies research group and consultancy for inclusive design projects.
Her recent work emphasizes sustainability curriculum mapping, equity-focused teaching, and collaborative projects addressing belonging in higher education. She actively contributes to interdisciplinary sustainability initiatives and co-hosts academic podcasts on environmental themes.
