Ann Conway Jones is an Honorary Research Fellow at the Department of Theology and Religion, University of Birmingham. She teaches biblical studies, early Jewish–Christian relations, and mystical theology at institutions such as The Queen’s Foundation, Woodbrooke Quaker Studies Centre, Birmingham Diocese, Oxford University Department of Continuing Studies, and Sarum College. Her work bridges academic scholarship and public engagement through lectures, magazine contributions, and interfaith dialogue.

Her research explores early Jewish–Christian relations, focusing on biblical exegesis and the origins of Christian mysticism. She investigates interiorised apocalyptic traditions derived from Exodus, Isaiah, and Ezekiel, and the role of anti-Judaism in shaping Christian identity. Her work connects historical scholarship to contemporary interfaith challenges.
Recent publications include analyses of Gregory of Nyssa, Moses’ ascent narratives, and theological responses to biblical violence. She was awarded the Sternberg Prize for her MA thesis and received AHRC funding for her PhD.
