Anja Knaupp is a Research Fellow in the Department of Anatomy & Developmental Biology at Monash University. Her work focuses on transcriptional regulation, stem cell biology, and regenerative medicine, with a particular emphasis on cellular reprogramming and the epigenetic control of cell fate transitions.
Recent research outputs include studies on:
- 2022: Retrotransposon instability in iPSCs and spatial transcriptomics of the mammalian heart
- 2022: Intestinal stem cell aging signatures and reprogramming strategies
- 2020: Human induced trophoblast stem cell protocols
Her projects are funded by the NHMRC and often involve collaboration with teams led by Prof. Jose Polo and Dr. Ryan Schittenhelm. She contributes to high-impact publications in journals like Nature and Nature Communications, with a focus on genomic stability and regenerative medicine applications.
