Dr. Anja Eleveld is an Associate Professor of Social Law at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam's Faculty of Law. She holds degrees in Labour Law (cum laude), Political Science, and Cultural Anthropology from the Universities of Amsterdam and Utrecht, and a PhD from Leiden University's Law Faculty (2012). Her research focuses on precarious work, poverty, and social security law's adaptation to climate change. She leads the 'Rights, Regulation and the Responsible Government' research program and directs the Fair Expertise Centre. Key roles include chairing the Empirical Legal Studies task force and co-editing the European Journal of Social Security.
