Dr. Anita Moyes is a Lecturer in the School of Nursing and Midwifery at Edith Cowan University (ECU). Her teaching includes courses on child and adolescent mental health, community mental health, and nursing research projects. She holds a PhD from Curtin University (2020) and has over 30 years of clinical experience across diverse settings, from community prevention services to tertiary hospital care.
Her research focuses on school nursing, child/adolescent mental health, and primary health care. Key interests include lifespan development from prenatal to young adulthood, mental health interventions in schools, and public perceptions of school nurses. She is affiliated with organizations such as the Global School Nurse Research Consortium and the Australian College of Mental Health Nurses.
Dr. Moyes currently co-supervises a Master of Nursing (Research) project exploring child health nurses' perspectives on care transitions between maternity and child health services. Her recent publications address school nursing roles, mental health support for youth, and historical health services in Western Australia.
