Anirudh Belle is a Research Fellow in Law at Wadham College, University of Oxford, within the Faculty of Law. His academic roles include teaching and research in private law, with a focus on Equity, trusts, property law, contract law, and obligations. He previously served as a Lecturer in Private Law at Pembroke College, Oxford, while conducting doctoral research under Prof. Ben McFarlane and Dr. Aruna Nair.
Education: BCL (Distinction) from the University of Oxford as an Inlaks Scholar; LL.B. from Jindal Global Law School (India); B.A. in Economics from Loyola College, Chennai (India).
Research interests span private law, property law, equity, trusts, commercial law, and the law of obligations. He co-convenes the Faculty of Law’s Obligations Discussion Group and the Private Law Postgraduate Research Students’ Discussion Group. He is an active member of the Private Law Research Group and contributes to initiatives like Public Law in Oxford.
Notable recognition includes the Inlaks Scholarship for his BCL studies. His academic activities include teaching modules on Contract and Land Law, reflecting his expertise in core private law areas.
