Dr Alexander Georgiou is an Examination Fellow at All Souls College, University of Oxford since 2019. He specializes in private law, focusing on contract, tort, trusts, and unjust enrichment. His research emphasizes remedial aspects of private law, intersections of linguistics with law, and moral/political philosophy in civil justice systems. He holds a DPhil from All Souls College (2020–2025), BPTC from BPP University (2019–2020), BCL from Brasenose College (2018–2019), and BA in Jurisprudence from Brasenose College (2014–2017).
His research interests include the law of obligations, trusts, and the philosophical foundations of legal remedies. Recent publications explore statutory trusts, equitable remedies, contractual liability, and unjust enrichment theory, appearing in journals like the Journal of Equity, Law Quarterly Review, and Modern Law Review. He has been awarded the Temple Chambers BCL Scholar (2018), Martin Wronker Prize (2017), and Gibbs Prize (2017).
Teaching focuses on contract, tort, trusts, restitution, and commercial remedies at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. His work bridges doctrinal analysis with broader questions of legal morality and institutional design.
