Angus Cook is an Associate Professor at the School of Population and Global Health, University of Western Australia. He specializes in epidemiology, public health, and clinical medicine, with a focus on preventive strategies and vulnerable populations. His research addresses health disparities, mental health, and palliative care, informed by over 20 years of clinical and academic experience.
Education: PhD in Population Health (Otago, 2007), Master of Biostatistics (2011), Graduate Diploma in Health Economics and Policy (2016). He was a Visiting Scholar at the IARC, Lyon (2000).
Research interests span epidemiology, health policy, and global health. Notable contributions include studies on LGBTQA+ youth mental health, palliative care outcomes, and pediatric health. His work aligns with UN SDGs, particularly Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-being).
