Angie Jennings is an Assistant Professor in Painting & Drawing at the Newcomb Art Department, Tulane University. Her practice integrates painting, drawing, performance, video, and sculpture to interrogate perception through surrealism and abstraction, centering themes of visibility, oppression, and mysticism.

Research Interests:
Angie Jennings's work explores the intersections of surrealism, abstraction, and interdisciplinary media to construct new mythologies tied to agency and resistance. Her projects often engage material experimentation, such as mixed-media installations on unconventional surfaces (duvet covers, tablecloths), to evoke visceral responses to oppression and the unknown.
Exhibitions:
Her works have been exhibited at institutions including the Miller Institute of Contemporary Art (Carnegie Mellon University), Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego, Wignall Museum of Contemporary Art, and Franconia Sculpture Park. Collaborative projects, like Packing Peanuts with Todd Mollenberg, highlight her cross-disciplinary approach.
