Dr Angelos Synapis is an Assistant Professor of Accounting and Finance at Coventry University’s Centre for Financial & Corporate Integrity (CFCI). He holds a PhD in Accounting and Finance from the University of Glasgow, alongside an MSc in Applied Accounting and Auditing and a BSc in Accounting. Previously, he held roles at the University of Glasgow and the University of Strathclyde, and worked as a financial accountant prior to academia.

Research Interests: Focuses on ESG/responsible finance, financial regulations, financial performance, insider trading, market-based accounting, and M&As. His work explores regulatory environments, corporate finance strategies during crises, and institutional impacts on emerging markets.

Advising & Grants: Accepts PhD students in corporate finance, financial accounting, and regulation. Active as an external examiner and journal reviewer.
