Dr. Angela Goins is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Social Work at the University of Houston-Downtown, affiliated with the College of Public Service. She holds a Doctorate in Social Work (DSW) and a Master of Social Work (MSW) from the University of Houston, and a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from the University of St. Thomas.
Her teaching focuses on foundational social work courses such as Case Management, Human Behavior in the Social Environment, and practice with specialized populations like older adults and children/adolescents. Research interests center on curricular innovation in social work education, service learning methodologies, and policy analysis.
