Angela Baerwolf is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Social Work at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay's College of Health, Education and Social Welfare. Joining the faculty in fall 2023, she brings extensive experience in school social work and LGBTQ youth advocacy. Her research focuses on school social work practices, mental health outcomes for LGBTQ youth, and pedagogical innovations in social work education.

Dr. Baerwolf's research interests center on school social work and LGBTQ youth mental health, with particular emphasis on experiences during the COVID-19 pandemic. They have contributed to the scholarship of teaching and learning in social work education, and previously served as a lecturer at the University of Wisconsin Sandra Rosenbaum School of Social Work.
As a former English teacher and school social worker in Madison with seven years of field experience, Dr. Baerwolf has maintained active professional engagement through roles at the Wisconsin School Social Workers Association, including a presidential term from 2016-2022.
