Dr. Angela Bloomquist is a Professor of School Psychology in the Education Department at Pennsylvania Western University (PennWest), housed within the College of Education, Arts and Humanities. She earned a Doctor of Education in School Psychology with a specialization in Family-School Collaboration from Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP).
- Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Pittsburgh
- Master of Education and Educational Specialist Certification in School Psychology from IUP
Her current research focuses on Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) and accreditation preparation. She previously worked as a practicing school psychologist in Pittsburgh, specializing in special education identification, program evaluation, bullying prevention, and crisis-response team development. She also created the instructional video Introduction to the IEP for parents and served as on-screen host ("Miss Palomine") and educational consultant for the children's TV program Meet Me at the Great Tree, which aired nationally.
Dr. Bloomquist has held leadership roles at PennWest, including Program Coordinator of the School Psychology program for over a decade and acting Co-Coordinator of IUP’s Peer Educator program. She serves as a program reviewer for the National Association of School Psychologists (NASP) and consults on university accreditation committees.
