Angélica Lozano-Alonso is a Professor of Spanish and Spanish Language Coordinator at Furman University, where she has taught since 2001. She holds a Ph.D. in Hispanic Studies from Cornell University and a B.A. from the University of Colorado. Her academic roles include serving as Faculty Director for The Hill Institute for Innovation and Entrepreneurship since 2020. Her research focuses on 20th- and 21st-century Mexican and Chicano literature, emphasizing Gender Studies, Cultural Studies, and spatial representations in media. She is also a certified ACTFL Oral Proficiency Interview tester, integrating language proficiency insights into pedagogical research.
