Andy Winden is an Assistant Professor at the University of Oregon School of Law, affiliated with the Business Law Program and the Environmental and Natural Resources Law Center. He teaches transactional business law and conducts research in corporate governance, securities regulation, and sustainability. Prior to his academic role, he held positions including a fellowship at Stanford’s Rock Center for Corporate Governance, partner at Morrison & Foerster, associate at Sullivan & Cromwell, and Honors Attorney at the U.S. Treasury Department.

Research Interests: Professor Winden’s scholarship focuses on the intersection of corporate governance frameworks, regulatory compliance in securities markets, and the integration of sustainability principles into legal and business practices. He is particularly engaged with how legal structures can promote sustainable business models and corporate accountability.
Labs/Teams: He contributes to the Environmental and Natural Resources Law Center, addressing interdisciplinary legal challenges in environmental policy and sustainability, and actively participates in the Business Law Program’s initiatives on corporate governance and transactional practice.
