Dr. Andy Wang is a Lecturer in the Discipline of Accounting at the University of Wollongong (UOW), School of Business, since February 2019. Previously, he held roles at Macquarie University, Australian Catholic University (ACU), and Macquarie Graduate School of Management (MGSM). His teaching focuses on financial accounting, management accounting, and auditing across undergraduate, postgraduate, and executive education programs.
Research Interests: Andy's interdisciplinary research explores inter-organizational relationship management, organizational justice and trust, sustainability, innovation in audits, and professional scepticism. He emphasizes collaborative projects addressing formal and social controls in business innovations and organizational resistance.
Grants & Funding: Secured competitive grants from CPA Australia (2013) and Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) (2014) for studies on organizational justice, trust, and inter-organizational innovation. Recent publications appear in Accounting and Finance and Accounting, Auditing and Accountability Journal.
Advising & Teaching: Supervised one completed PhD student on 'Political Institution and Audit Quality: Evidence from China' (2018–2022). Active in designing curricula for accounting disciplines.
Professional Memberships: CPA Australia (since 2009), Accounting and Finance Association of Australia and New Zealand (AFAANZ).
