Andy Moore

Andy Moore is a Professor of Geology at Earlham College, specializing in tsunami and coastal hazards. He leads field-based research and education, emphasizing hands-on learning with students. His work focuses on tsunami deposits in Japan, Tanzania, and Canada, with recent projects including coastal processes in Nova Scotia and dam removal assessments in Indiana. Prof. Moore actively involves undergraduates in fieldwork, having taken students to locations like Yellowstone, Japan, and Tanzania. His teaching philosophy prioritizes societally relevant geoscience, integrating field experiences with classroom learning.
