Andy Keeler

Andy Keeler serves as a Professor in the Department of Economics at East Carolina University and is the Program Head for Public Policy and Coastal Sustainability at the Coastal Studies Institute (CSI). He joined CSI in August 2010 after previously holding a professorship at the John Glenn School of Public Affairs at Ohio State University.

His distinguished government service includes:

• Senior Staff Economist for Environment at the President’s Council of Economic Advisers (2000-2001)
• Member of US climate change negotiation teams and OECD representative
• Service on White House climate policy teams under Presidents Clinton and Bush
• Senior economist at EPA's Innovative Strategies Group (1999-2000)
• United Nations FAO consultant (1982-1985)
