Professor André Viljoen is a Professor at the University of Brighton, renowned for pioneering work integrating architecture with agriculture. His research focuses on Continuous Productive Urban Landscapes (CPULs), advocating for sustainable urban environments through design-led strategies. Collaborating extensively with Katrin Bohn, his interdisciplinary work has influenced global urban biodiversity initiatives, including contributions to the United Nations University’s Institute of Advanced Studies.
Key achievements include the 2015 Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) President’s Award, recognizing their groundbreaking research.
