Prof. Dr. András Torma is currently the Rector of the University of Miskolc (2013–present) and a University Professor. He previously served as Dean (2012–2013), Deputy Dean (2004–2012), and Institute Director (2007–2012). His career spans over three decades at the University of Miskolc, where he began as a University Lecturer in 1984.
- Education: Doctor of Political Science and Law from József Attila University (1975–1980), Legal Examination (1983).
His research focuses on Public and Administrative Law, with subfields including legal informatics, EU institutional systems, and regional policy. He has over 340 publications, including monographs, textbooks, and studies, with 19 international works. He has held leadership roles in academic committees and editorial boards, such as the journals 'Law-State-Politics' and 'Public Governance, Administration and Finances Law Review.'
