Andria Crosson

Andria Crosson serves as an Assistant Professor of Practice in the Department of History within the College of Liberal and Fine Arts at the University of Texas at San Antonio. Teaching at UTSA since 2006, she instructs diverse courses including U.S. History surveys, World Civilizations, East Asian History, and senior-level History Standards for Social Studies Concentration majors across multiple modalities.

Her accolades feature the 2024 Eugene Asher Award for Distinguished Teaching (highest U.S. history teaching honor, first Texas recipient), 2025 Richard S. Howe Faculty Excellence Award, 2015 UTSA President's Distinguished Teaching Award, and 2008 San Antonio Regional Texas History Fair Volunteer of the Year.

Crosson secured the 2023 Whiting Foundation Grant for Teaching Workshops and pioneered a virtual study lab for Social Studies Composite Certification, coordinating seven subject matter experts across three UTSA colleges and one external institution. This project significantly increased student pass rates and earned the 2025 Howe Award.
