Dr. Andrew Weyman is a Professor in the Department of Psychology at the University of Bath, specializing in the Psychology of Risk, Public Risk Communication, and Healthcare Workforce Management. He leads the Centre for the Analysis of Social Policy and Society (CASPS) and contributes to the EPSRC Cyber Security CDT. With over 20 years of experience, he previously held roles at the Health & Safety Executive and Health and Safety Laboratory.
Research Focus: Weyman's work centers on risk perception, stakeholder engagement, and evidence-based policy. Key areas include NHS staff retention, socio-technical resilience, and aging workforce challenges. He has pioneered interventions to improve healthcare system resilience through mixed methods research and causal loop analysis.
