معرفی
Andrew Sharp is a Senior Lecturer in Electrical Engineering at Wrexham University, serving as Programme Leader for the BEng Electrical and Electronic Engineering program since 2015. He previously worked at Coleg Cambria (2008-2015) as Programme Leader for the BTEC Extended Diploma in Engineering and spent over a decade at the UK Ministry of Defence (MOD) as an avionic technician and Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) engineer.
His academic journey began with an undergraduate degree at Liverpool John Moores University. He transitioned into teaching while at MOD, mentoring apprentices and identifying his passion for education.
Andrew’s research focuses on power electronics thermal management and Internet of Things (IoT) applications. His work explores heat sink design for power semiconductor modules, temperature gradient optimization, and ESP32 microcontroller-based IoT systems. His publications highlight practical and numerical approaches to cooling efficiency and embedded systems.
Recent trends in his publications emphasize thermal performance enhancement in power electronics and IoT hardware implementation, suggesting a dual focus on engineering reliability and smart systems development.
