Andrew O'Connor serves as Instructor of Music (String Bass) at Muhlenberg College, teaching bass while maintaining active roles at Community Music Schools in Allentown and Trappe, PA, and as a member of Symphony in C. His career bridges performance and pedagogy across diverse musical landscapes.

O'Connor specializes in cross-genre performance and composition, with research interests spanning Classical Music, Jazz, Opera, Musical Theater, Rock, Experimental Music, and 20th/21st Century Music. His expertise in contemporary repertoire drives collaborations with ensembles like Tyrone Fredericks’ Quartet, Julie Miwa’s Julie-Verse, and Pennsylvania Sinfonia, emphasizing modern compositional techniques and interdisciplinary projects.
As a performer-composer, he actively participates in festivals including Mostly Modern Festival and Fresh Inc. Festival, while his recent releases "Monkey Say" and "Not Much Has Changed" demonstrate ongoing artistic innovation. His compositional studies with Joan Tower and George Tsontakis at Bard College further inform his creative practice.
